Yes, you will need a valid passport to enter Tanzania.

A tourist visa typically allows a stay of up to 90 days from the date of issue.

Good news — for most travelers, getting a visa is simple and convenient.

This option is available for citizens of European, American, and many other countries.

Some nationalities, however, must apply in advance — so be sure to check your eligibility before traveling.

Processing typically takes up to 10 working days.

Most visitors apply for an Ordinary Visa (USD 50).

U.S. citizens are required to apply for a Multiple Entry Visa (USD 100).
📝 Referral Visa
If you are from a Referral Visa country, you must apply at least two months before your travel date.

This visa cannot be obtained on arrival.

Approval often takes longer than standard visas.
